Active speaker score adjust the speaker volume?

I am wondering if the active speaker score returning from calculateScore function adjust the output volume of speakers?

I have a case where I need to make sure that main speaker's volume is not taking over by anyone else in the meeting while speaking, even if others speak louder than the main speaker.

Im trying to implement a custom ActiveSpeakerPolicy but bit confused about how it works

Any lead would be great!!
