Does adding a song to history affect recommendations as if the song was played directly on youtube music?

There's no way to know, really. You can try via an empty brand account and report back.

It may also be tracked via the stats API though (api/stats playback/watchtime), which ytmusicapi does not support. We could in the future though, if it is relevant.

I would like to see that added. I'm working on making a async version (I've caught up to the latest version, but without the tests unfortunately) but I'll check out that endpoint as well.
